Bliksem hosting Frauds

The empty promises from Javier Vidueira and his staff at Bliksem Hosting have caused such a nightmare for me and for many others.
2 weeks ago I noticed not one charge from Bliksem like there should be but three.
They were charging me almost every month and still haven't refunded anything.

Everytime I've tried calling them this is what I've gotten - CLICK HERE to hear it.
Simple search on Google came across:
"Bliksem Ripped Me Off"
"fed up with bliksemhosting"
"BliksemHosting Stealing from their old customers!!"
"...And Another"
"Don't trust these crooks named Javier and Christina..."
Rumor has it that Javier Vidueira is trying to start a new company called hostingjoy.com and so it appears he's charging everybody who's credit card he can find to get capital to do it. Even people who haven't been using Bliksem for over a year have been charged.
This is really sad.

One thing to do would be to write an article about their new company hostingjoy.com and get it indexed into google as a scam, bullshit, ripoff, fraud...
I'm anon at the moment because I still haven't moved everything.
It's my opinion that Jav at Bliksem is a liar and a thief. After all that he's done in the past few months, I find myself very nervous to sign up with any other company. At this time, they owe me money for violation of their own uptime, and support guarentees. I am in posession of many documents showing how Javier Viduera, and Monty were abusive. I even have a recording of Jav throwing a temper tantrum on the phone when I complained about the loss of 4 months worth of database entries in June 2006.
Sweet - thanks for the posts guys. I'll keep posting here and on that forum about any updates. I'm just hoping the sites go up for long enough to get the data back.
There also seems to be a Bliksembug Auctions, also with an unsatisfactory record with the BBB.

The Bureau processed a total of 2 complaints about this company since the firm's BBB file was opened in August of 2004. Of the total 2 complaints since the firm's BBB file was opened in August of 2004, 1 of those was closed in the past 12 months.
It looks like "bliksembug" is the name that they used to use for eBay. As you can see, their feedback rating was rather low, and apparently they had the same sort of track record back then as they do now. As further proof that "bliksembug" is associated with BliksemHosting, it was a name previously used on WHT by girl.conf, a.k.a. Christina of BliksemHosting.
This is f**ked up DJ. I'm so sorry to hear about your trouble with them, and it really angers me to see this kind of stuff happen to anyone! I wish you luck with your ongoing dealings with them, and whatever investigation follows. These guys are liars and thieves and they need to be stopped ASAP, before they do more damage.
Yeah, they move everybody without telling them (not to mention it was a TOTALLY screwed up move) and as far as not taking PayPal I'm sure that is so they can get credit card numbers instead to overbill!
How did you ever end up choosing this company is the first place? There are plenty of reputable hosting companies out there that provide top notch service. It also sounds like you're paying way too much ($937 ???).
Personally I've been using www.mediatemple.net for a couple years now, and have been very happy with their service. It's amazing that even though I only pay like $10 per month I can still get a human on the phone in under 5 minutes.

Actually, 1-2 years ago they had a really good reputation on WHT and othe rforums. Their support & service were great when they first came on the scene & they were active on the boards to resolve any complaints. It wasn't until about 6-8 months ago that things started to go downhill (IMHO).
Well, I'm just going to add here even though every one else has said all there is to say:
1)
The most recent backup they restored my site from after they 'moved' files was 6 months old, and it was apparently my fault for not telling them I had 'updated' my site since then despite the daily incremental backups they were supposed to be doing.
2)
Jav is an asshole, he called me and yelled at me for half an hour at 9P.M. because 'he is working after hours just for me' and I wasn't kissing the fucking ground he walked on for failing to fix the things he broke in the first place
3)
The entire staff seems technically incompetent. It appears that the entire company was built on Linux FAQ's and HOWTO's. Any serious problem was met with disaster.
My favorite part of the phone call from Jav that finally convinced me to leave them?
Jav: "Do you even know how Rsync works?!?!? You cant just tell it to backup only new files! We don't have the space to backup everyones site!!!"
Me: "Um... isn't that Rsync was /designed for/ ? Maybe you don't know how Rsync works...."
Jav: "Well how come you weren't using it then?"
Me: "You told me you were doing incremental backups"
Jav: "Well we did, but they didn't rsync!"
To make a really long post short, stay the hell away from Bliksem.
The f.cking losers charged my credit 3 times in 3 consecutive days. How do I go about reversing the charges. It all happened a month ago.

Just checked my account and there is a charge for $299.99 from BLKISEM. Yes, it is spelled like that, probably to avoid triggering some fraud alerts. Bastard MF'ers! They need to go to jail!
Please keep me advised if there's any class-action or criminal lawsuit.

I am in the same boat... a friend and I set up with bliksem almost 2 years ago... I received one email stating they were moving the server (semi-ded) and confirmed the dns records were on the new servers before changing with registrar. No response on questions about our reseller server - which they just shut down without warning. Its a sad state of affairs, when a business owner has so little respect for himself not to make good on promises... on a positive note... he appears to have finally made a name for himself.. Thief
This is some fraganackle bull!!! All the money we've thrown Bliksem, for them to just do us like this. UGH!
I cancelled my Bliksem account three weeks ago and had an email confirmation of that. I moved on to another host and thought the nightmare was over. Today, I see I got two charges to my Credit Card from Bliksem for $193.99. I am disputing them obviously, but wonder how to get rid of this Zombie. It's like a Cyber, real-life version of "Night of the Living Dead."

Bliksem and Javier (aka the hotheaded screamer) are definitely on my s-list. I should have just left months ago ....
My biggest question now is, how do I move my domain names over to another host?
I noticed they cancelled the paypal subscription that I was using so at least they didn't try to nail me on that.
Yes, I also lost several accounts and my good reputation because of Bliksem. If anyone is serious about a lawsuit, I'd like to hear about it. I doubt there's much that can be recovered financially and I'm giving up my data for lost, but I'd like to see them face all the people they've screwed, in court. I'm also keen to ensure they can't just start another company and do it all again.

I paid six months in advance and lost it all. Also lost all my data, and the worst of it is that I lost a lot of Christmans business.
I can't access any of my sites.. I am going to talk to my bank to reverse at couple of months of these charges. Maybe they will contact me and offer me my old files.
I did pay via paypal as far as I can remember, so no money lost there. But about a year after moving, I'm still getting emails that my account needs to be renewed (as well as the domain name). The domain name is registered with Enom, supposedly a trustworthy company, but i'm transferring the name to a diff. hosting company that charges via paypal so I never have to give out my CC number.
That MF better stay away from Holland for the next 20 years or so..or, i'll give him some Bliksem up his *ss.
